Black Death
The Black Death came from the East, reaching the shores of
Italy in 1348. Unleashing a rampage, the
Black Death spread across Europe killing about a third of the population.
The Black Death had 3 ways of presenting itself: the bubonic variant, pneumonic plague and then the septicement version. The bubonic variant is the most common. The bubonic plague gets its name from the buboes or swellings that appear on the persons neck, armpits or groin. The buboes size range from an egg to an apple. These buboes are extremely painful. The pneumonic plague is when you inhale the air of an infected person. And finally the septicement version attacked the blood system. There was no cure for the plague. To speak or go near the sick brought infection to a healthy citizen.
The healthy citizens shut themselves out of infected villages, forming small communities together. These citizens decided to go one with their life not even thinking about a plague. Others were the opposite. They went around being happy and only doing things of pleasure.
